In this roundup of cultural news, we kick off with the winner of this year’s Nobel Prize in Literature: Norwegian author and playwright Jon Fosse. A minimalistic and existential writer, his prolific body of work includes more than 40 plays and a multi-volume novel written as a single sentence. We also check out two exhibitions devoted to Vincent van Gogh – one featuring the work he produced in the final days of his life, the other an unexpected collaboration with Pokemon inspired by the Dutch painter’s love of Japanese pop culture. Plus: Modigliani’s iconic portraits, a vast collection of film memorabilia, and Season 3 of “Lupin” on Netflix.
